ADVENT / CHRISTMAS SEASON INFORMATION


During Advent, we are slowly decorating the church in preparation for Christmas.  All are invited to help after the 10 a.m. service.  We will also have an Advent poster for each family to take home.

Christmas Flower Envelopes will be available during Advent.  Please remember to state your intentions.

Our youth will once again be purchasing food items and food gift cards for Christmas Baskets for the Salvation Army with their can return funds. Donations to this worthwhile cause will also be accepted.  For more information, contact Susan Harries by phone

Christmas Card Tree -  There will be blank cards to put messages in for the holiday season by the tree during Advent. Everyone who attends the Christmas Eve service will get a card. If there are extra cards, we will drop them at Hearthside Manor or Freighter View. We will also accept cards prepared at home and brought to church.   

Christmas Eve service will begin with Carols at 5:30 p.m. followed by Festive Eucharist at 6:00 p.m.

There will not be a service on Sunday, December 25, which is also Christmas Day.

PRAYER FOR ST. JAMES'

We pray the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation as we come to know Him, so that, with the eyes of our hearts enlightened, we may know what is the hope which God has called us.  Amen.   Epheasians 1:17-18a
